Vesa-Matti Loiri & Samuli Edelmann - Tuomittuna kulkemaan

Vey good song, but... As the picture tells, Vesa-Matti Loiri has passed away. He was great in Uuno -movies. I've tried to hunt the movie Tie pohjoiseen (Road North), but haven't founded it. Sure, you can find used version of it in the net, but I want a new one. Maybe I'll cave in, we shall see. This was released in 2013.

Nousin kanssa auringon

Meren rantaa kulkemaan

Ääretöntä katselin

Jotain melkein aavistin

Rakastuneet kulkee taas

Puiden alle käsikkäin

Heidän näkevän sen näin

Mä mitä vaille itse jäin

Oon tuomittuna kulkemaan

Kulman taa ja seuraamaan

Kaupunki kaunis valoissaan

On mulle varjo musta vaan

Sydän kuulee puheen tän

Näkyväiseen kiintymään

Ei silti tyydy pelkästään

Miksei, en tiedä itsekään

Se jokin mitä odottaa

Jossen täällä kiinni saa

Se tuskin on, mä tiedän sen

Mun ikäväni arvoinen

Oon tuomittuna kulkemaan

Kulman taa jo seuraavaan

Kaupunki kaunis valoissaan

On mulle varjo musta vaan

Oon tuomittuna kulkemaan

Kulman taa ja seuraamaan

Kaupunki kaunis valoissaan

On mulle varjo musta vaan

Oon tuomittuna kulkemaan

Kulman taa ja seuraamaan

Kaupunki kaunis valoissaan

On mulle varjo musta vaan

Mark Knopfler - Sailing To Philadelphia

A little less know artist, Mark Knopfler. At least I dont know much about him, can't even tell another song from this. But this (Sailing To Philadelphia) is a good song. One hit wonder? Maybe, I gotta research the shit out of this... This was released in 2000.

A glass of wine with you, sir
And the ladies I'll enjoy
All Durham and Northumberland
Is measured up by my own hand
It was my fate from birth
To make my mark upon the earth

He calls me Charlie Mason
A stargazer am I
It seems that I was born
To chart the evening sky
They'd cut me out for baking bread
But I had other dreams instead
This baker's boy from the west country
Would join the Royal Society

We are sailing to Philadelphia
A world away from the coaly Tyne
Sailing to Philadelphia
To draw the line
A Mason-Dixon Line

Now you're a good surveyor, Dixon
But I swear you'll make me mad
The West will kill us both
You gullible Geordie lad
You talk of liberty
How can America be free
A Geordie and a baker's boy
In the forests of the Iroquois

Now hold your head up, Mason
See America lies there
The morning tide has raised
The capes of Delaware
Come up and feel the sun
A new morning has begun
Another day will make it clear
Why your stars should guide us here

We are sailing to Philadelphia
A world away from the coaly Tyne
Sailing to Philadelphia
To draw the line
A Mason-Dixon Line

Pink Floyd - Mother

This time we have Pink Floyd, it was released in 1979.

Mother do you think they'll drop the bomb
Mother do you think they'll like the song
Mother do you think they'll try to break my balls
Ooooh aah, Mother should I build a wall
Mother should I run for president
Mother should I trust the government
Mother will they put me in the firing line
Ooooh aah, is it just a waste of time
Hush now baby don't you cry
Mama's gonna make all of your
Nightmares come true
Mama's gonna put all of her fears into you
Mama's gonna keep you right here
Under her wing
She won't let you fly but she might let you sing
Mama will keep baby cosy and warm
Ooooh Babe Ooooh Babe Ooooh Babe
Of course Mama's gonna help build the wall
Mother do think she's good enough for me
Mother do think she's dangerous to me
Mother will she tear your little boy apart
Oooh aah, mother will she break my heart
Hush now baby, baby don't you cry
Mama's gonna check out all your girl friends for you
Mama won't let anyone dirty get through
Mama's gonna wait up till you come in
Mama will always find out where
You've been
Mamma's gonna keep baby healthy and clean
Ooooh Babe Ooooh Babe Ooooh Babe
You'll always be a baby to me
Mother, did it need to be so high.

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms

Here we go again... Dire Straits! This was released in 1985. Awesome music, me likes... What else can you say, let the beat go down.

These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Someday you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn to be
Brothers in arms
Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I've witnessed your suffering
As the battle raged high
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell and
The moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line in your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

Neil Young - Old Man

The best, of THE BEST!! I like this kind of a music. I also like "twenty twenty" hit-mix music, but if I were to choose; my pick would be Neil Young (...and the rest of the cast, who does - nor did - same kinda music)! This was released in 1972. Enjoy: in the meaning of a word ~ ENJOY!!

I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.

Old man look at my life,
Twenty four
and there's so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.

Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things
that don't get lost.
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.

I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
